GRE閱讀中有些選項和正確答案意思非常接近，我們可能會不太確定到底在兩個相似的答案之間到底應該選什么，這個時候一定要遵守兩個重要的原則。

第一：正確答案一定出自原文，原文一定會對正確答案提供或明確或隱晦的提示；

第二：兩個較為相似的答案如果難以抉擇，要仔細觀察到底這兩個看似都挺正確的答案之間細微的差別是什么，即每個答案的側(cè)重點是什么，或者這兩者最大的邏輯上的差異是什么。比如下題：

The waters east of Cape Hangklip were once the center of a lucrative wild-caught abalone fishery, but illegal fishing in the mid-1990s escalated to such levels that the recreational fishery was closed in 2003. When abalones did not rebound, commercial fishing was also banned. 有些同學或許會覺得其實答案E也挺好的，確實如果按照原文的信息“In that area, urchins feed largely by trapping drift kelp, and in doing so provide juvenile abalone with both protective shelter and nourishment. ”我們得知urchin會去吃kelp，而正因為這個飲食習性，使得幼小的abalone可以有庇護所以及營養(yǎng)，但是原文并沒有明確告訴我們kelp在abalone的成長過程中到底扮演了什么角色，我們只知道urchin干掉了kelp對abalone有好處，而E沒有明確告訴我們decline到底是誰的下降，而要從urchin自身數(shù)量下滑推到kelp增加，再推到abalone下降又需要幾步推理過程，原文是沒有明確指明的，所以E不可以選擇。反觀C所言：它們對某一生物幼崽有作用，確實是原文僅的少量信息里可以作證的內(nèi)容，所以最保險就是選擇C。
